The Heartbeat of Black Creativity in the Region

Calling artists, creatives and those working in the arts and creative industry - you are invited to an afternoon of masterclasses, workshops and networking designed to nurture the Black creative ecosystem within the arts industry.

This one is for you if you want to level up your practice, if you run a creative business or want to meet the changemakers in the industry.

This session is open to Black artists and creatives working in all areas of the arts and creative industries.

We have adopted the Black Ticket Project‘s definition of ‘Black’: as of Black African, Caribbean, Afro-Latinx and African-American heritage, including those of mixed-Black heritage who identify as such.

The event will include sessions on:

• Leadership - who cares for you? with Romanah Buchanan, Raidene Carter & Charlene Carter-James
   
• Breaking into TV & Film with Natalie Edwards-Yesufu & Cherrelle Skeete
  
• Fundraising and Producing  with Titilola Dawudu
  
• Music Masterclass & Sharing with Reisz Amos

All sessions are optional, you'll be able to choose your own pathway through the afternoon.

We will also have a dedicated co-working space for you to come and spend time on whatever you're working on right now, alongside other creatives. Meet each other, work together, form new connections! 

The Heartbeat of Black Creativity is part of the Beautiful Futures Festival, taking place at Birmingham Hippodrome from 19-21 October.
